Stefan Melovski is a Serbian-born guitarist and bandleader and arranger currently based in London. He spent his youth in the little island of Cyprus, where he studied with guitarist Socrates Leptos and jazz saxophonist Charis Ioannou. After relocating to London, he now dedicates his time fronting his own trio and septet at his residency Oliver’s Sunday Jazz at Oliver’s Bar, Greenwich, as well as playing as a sideman for various groups and singers. He has been featured as performer at the Ronnie Scott’s ‘Late Show’, Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho, and has been lucky to have performed with, amongst others, Johnny O’Neal, Ari Roland, Chris Byars, Sacha Perry, Marion Cowings, and Jimmy Wormworth.

Back in 2015, Stefan finished his classical guitar studies at Trinity College of Music, and was a featured solo recitalist in various venues including King’s Place, Cheltenham Town Hall, and St. James Piccadilly to name a few. He also developed big band Op Sa! an original group interpreting music from his home country Serbia as well as his own compositions. With this band, Stefan collaborated with up-and-coming rapper Azza and Counterpoint Arts writing a charity song for migrants at the Calais Camp, which was previewed at Refugee Week 2016 live at Richmix.
